Best Nespresso Machines

Best Nespresso machines

Nespresso splits into two very different systems: the Original line of compact 19-bar espresso machines and the Vertuo line of capsule brewers that make full cups with crema.

Picking the right line is the first decision; this guide then ranks the best models in each.

How we chose

We weighed capsule system (Original vs Vertuo), cup size support, price, footprint and milk options across the most popular Nespresso machines.

Each model links to its dedicated review where you can see real behaviour and costs.

Original or Vertuo?

Original uses high-pressure espresso capsules with a small footprint and a true espresso taste; Vertuo uses barcoded capsules to brew every size from ristretto to a 14oz cup with a crema head. Choose Original for espresso-first kitchens, Vertuo for households that drink big mugs too.

The one with milk

If milk drinks are central, the Creatista Plus places a proper steam wand on Nespresso hardware and is the only Nespresso that lets you texture milk by hand. Its price is high, but it is the most café-like cup you can get from a pod.

FAQs

Which Nespresso is cheapest to run?

Original capsules are generally a little cheaper per unit and you control cup size tightly, so espresso-drinkers run leaner on the Original line.
