BrewAuthority exists to answer one question honestly: which coffee equipment is actually worth your money?
Who we are
We're a small, independent team of coffee professionals and obsessive home baristas. Between us: a former specialty café owner and licensed Q Grader, an SCA-certified barista trainer, and a brew-methods writer with over 3,000 logged manual brews. We've personally tested more than 200 machines, grinders and brewers in our dedicated test kitchen since 2021.
How we work
Every product in our reviews is used the way you'd use it — daily, for weeks, with real beans and real mornings. We measure what can be measured (temperature stability, shot timing, decibels, foam texture) and taste what can't. We buy many products ourselves; when manufacturers loan units, that never buys a better score, and we say so in every review.
How we make money

Our promise
If a $75 grinder beats a $300 one, we'll tell you — and we have. If the answer to "which machine should I buy?" is "none, fix your beans first," we'll tell you that too. Coffee gear is expensive; our job is making sure you only buy the right things once.
